Branding design
Dabbawala
Nisha Droch took on the challenge of rebranding the Mumbai Dabbawalas, a 125-year-old lunch delivery service that has become an iconic part of the city’s culture. Her task was to modernize the brand while still honoring its rich history and tradition.
One of the challenges Nisha faced was to create a design that would reflect the Dabbawalas’ core values of reliability, efficiency, and trust. She used a bold color palette and simple, clean lines to create a modern, yet timeless design that captured the essence of the brand.
Another challenge was to create a design that would be easily recognizable and distinguishable from other food delivery services in the crowded Mumbai market. Nisha’s design incorporated the iconic white outfit and Gandhi cap worn by the Dabbawalas, which instantly distinguished them from other food delivery services.
